Four years spent watching industries move without the people in them talking to each other taught him what to build next.

Essa has worked across deep tech, hospitality, and wellness over the past four years, with organizations including Fashion TV, Rebel Foods, and AGHPL. Alongside this, he has researched IoT and LoRa systems for infrastructure modernization. Industry work and technical research together gave him a close view of a problem that kept surfacing: capable people, separated by discipline, with no reliable way to find one another.

Orbics is being built around that observation. Meaningful academic and professional connection should not depend on attending the right conference or standing in the right department hallway. Essa is focused on shaping Orbics into infrastructure that serious people can depend on, rather than another feed competing for their attention.

He is building the platform he wished existed, one where curiosity does not have to stay inside a single field.

Kifayat is an undergraduate student in STEM, though his interests reach past it, into literature, poetry, and art. This range shapes how he approaches Orbics: people doing serious work are rarely confined to one discipline, so platforms built for them should not assume otherwise.

He brings that same range to the platform itself. He is technical enough to help build it properly, and attentive enough to notice what makes it worth using. For Kifayat, Orbics is a bet that people, and their work, are more interesting than any single field allows them to appear.
